Director of Marketing—Sports & Entertainment

    Company Description


    Position Overview: The Director Marketing plays a crucial role in developing and executing marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness, drive revenue growth for the company’s portfolio of entertainment offerings and increase awareness of sports-related special events and activations. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the sports and entertainment landscape, strong leadership skills, and possess a proven track record of successful marketing initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Event Management: Support the planning and execution of sports and entertainment events, including sponsor activations, broadcast exposure, and fan engagement experiences.
    • Brand Management: Manage and enhance the brand image of the organization; ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing channels and campaigns.
    • Public Relations and Social Media: Collaborate with PR and social media teams to ensure cohesive messaging.
    • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the organization's objectives, taking into consideration market trends and competitive landscape in the sports and Las Vegas entertainment industry.
    • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior, identify emerging trends, and measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Use data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.
    • Sponsorship and Partnership Activation: Oversee marketing elements to create effective activation plans that maximize the value of relationships with sponsors and partners.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate marketing strategies, campaign performance, and key initiatives to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to achieve maximum impact and ROI.
    • Campaign Development: Lead the development of creative and innovative marketing campaigns, promotions, and events that engage target audiences and drive ticket sales, and other revenue streams.
    • Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity.

    Qualifications

    • Deep knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry, including current trends and key players.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing marketing teams.
    • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven experience (8+ years) in sports and entertainment marketing, with a track record of successful campaign execution.
    • Must have the flexibility to travel and work nights/ weekends.
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative marketing approaches.
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
