Job Description

: Responsible for the overall planning, organization, and execution of IT functions for the RENK North American region. This includes directing IT operations over multiple locations including the support and maintenance of existing applications, development, and deployment of new technical solutions, managing the IT infrastructure including ERP, telephony and network environment and managing help desk/support. The position will report to the CFO, North America and acts according to the global governance by the Group CIO located in Germany.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs salary administration and conducts interviews, and is responsible for IT new hires, consultants and/or replacement personnel.
  • Directs and prioritizes workflow of direct reports and IT staff.
  • Coordinates IT systems and support activities with other business functions to facilitate company-wide system compatibility.
  • Develops tactical plans in support of business requirements.
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Plans, staffs, and executes on major system implementations, migrations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Reviews all designs, code, and unit test plan where applicable; approves all business requirements prior to technical solution.
  • Maintains knowledge of new technological developments impacting RENK IT, which include new systems and tools, infrastructure hardware, telecommunication products, and government regulations.
  • Collaborates extensively with the RENK Senior Staff (US and Germany) on business requirements and IT related project definition and completion.
  • Responsible for systems security, and compliance with all regulations and applicable laws.
  • Allocates resources to projects and maintains an overall resource plan for the IT team.
  • Builds and develops the IT team and ensures direct reports and the IT staff receives direction, coaching, development, performance management.
  • Ensures IT processes are appropriately documented and updated.
  • Responsible for the development and management of IT operating and capital budgets, and approval of all IT expenditures

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in an Information Technology related discipline required with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years direct experience managing an IT function at a division or corporate level, with increasing responsibility and demonstrated strong business and manufacturing background is required.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience selecting, implementing, migrating, and supporting integrated business applications, including ERP systems.
  • Experience working with outside vendors for service and support
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit a high level of leadership and the ability to understand complex information systems
  • Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and capable of operating under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Efficient reasoning ability to facilitate clear communication and effective problem solving
  • PMP Certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of system design and development, relational databases, system infrastructure, telecommunications, desktop support, and help desk
  • Strong team and customer service orientation
