Director Of Housing Jobs

Regent of Burnsville, a well-established, amenities rich senior living community, is hiring a Director of Housing who is experienced with leading a community encompassing assisted living, memory care, care suites, and independent living. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team by managing our campus with 175 beds. You will receive support from our corporate regional team as well as the Assistant Director of Housing and department leadership staff at Regent of Burnsville.

Our ideal Director of Housing will provide positive leadership focused on the campus’ goals of assuring a spiritual care ministry, striving to be a provider and employer of choice, demonstrating financial stewardship, and leveraging technology as well as managing financial and other resources responsibly and expanding our financial base through fund development.

The successful candidate for our Director of Housing will preferably have at least five years’ previous experience in housing or property management ideally working with aging adults and/or disabled persons. In addition, a BA degree related to long term care or housing, current knowledge of legal requirements related to housing, basic knowledge of computer hardware/software and excellent oral and written communication skills are required in this position.

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position.

Director of Housing responsibilities:

• Support the initiatives of the Sales and Marketing Director to attract potential residents that will meet or exceed occupancy and service-offerings expectations at Harmony Gardens.
• Oversee staff development, hiring practices, in-service training sessions, performance feedback, and promote a strong teamwork environment.
• Maintain on-going liaison relationship with greater Burnsville communities, businesses and educational institutions to enhance the campus’ existence.
• Participate in development of strategic long-range plans for the community and our organization.
• Maintain and manage state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
• Provide exceptional leadership to the Regent of Burnsville team through positive engagement between staff, residents, families, and guests.

Director of Housing skills and requirements:

• Demonstrated success in creating a flourishing senior healthcare community.
• 5+ years experience in business management, emphasis on property management preferred.
• BA or BS degree in Health, Gerontology or Business Administration or other related field.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Assisted Living Licensure for MN or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Previous staff supervisory experience required.
• Outstanding time management experience along with excellent communication, organizational and computer skills.
• Understanding of the comprehensive home care rules and regulations.
• Positive interpersonal, communication, & financial management skills.
