Position Overview
As the Director of Grain Merchandising, you will be the linchpin of our relationship with farmers, helping them navigate the complexities of the modern agricultural market. Your insights and expertise in merchandising strategies, options, and futures contracts will empower our clients to hedge risk and maximize profitability.
Responsibilities
Client Relationships Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with farmers, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions.
Risk Management Advise clients on hedging strategies through options and futures contracts, ensuring alignment with their financial goals and market trends.
Logistics Coordination Collaborate with our in-house logistics department to offer clients seamless solutions, from transportation to storage.
Strategic Merchandising Develop and implement innovative merchandising strategies that align with the market dynamics and clients' objectives.
Platform Utilization Guide clients in leveraging our cutting-edge trading platform with proprietary pricing signals, ensuring they are fully equipped to make informed decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience in grain merchandising or related roles.
Strong understanding of options, futures contracts, and agricultural commodity markets.
Exceptional client relationship skills with a focus on trust and transparency.
Ability to collaborate with various departments to provide cohesive solutions.
