Job Description
The Director of Football Rehabilitation will be responsible for optimizing rehabilitation and return-to-play programs of injured athletes as well as working proactively to prevent injuries utilizing a collaborative and progressive approach in conjunction with other members of the performance team including Athletic Trainers, Team Physicians, Strength and Conditioning, Sport Science, Nutrition, and Sports Psychology. Working with the team will involve working long hours, nights, weekends, and some holidays. Adherence to all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations will be required. The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from regionally accredited institution required and two (2) years full-time experience providing treatment and rehabilitation of injuries to football student-athletes in a Division I program or the NFL required. Must possess strong decision-making and ability to communicate at multiple levels effectively. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of athletes in a diverse community. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to obtain Nebraska State Physical Therapy licensure required. Emergency response certification (CPR, basic life support) Required. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from a regionally accredited institution. 6 years’ experience preferred. Experience with use of testing modalities including to VALD Performance Suite, Catapult, TMG, and isokinetic dynamometry preferred. Experience working within a collaborative health and wellness team preferred. CSCS or SCCC certification preferred. Athletic Trainer Certified work experience preferred
