Job Summary:-


The Director of Field Operations is responsible for managing all field, warehouse and shop fabrication operations activities in accordance with established budgets, schedules, plans, specs, procedures, safety standards and company standards. Oversees all field workers that are responsible for installation of assigned work. Responsible for manpower planning to ensure the work is completed within budget. Recruits new personnel when authorized by Management.


Responsibilities:-


  • Manage all labor reporting to Project Management
  • Manage field supervisors, superintendents, and foremen including daily support
  • Manage relationships with key customers, clients, stakeholders and vendors as it relates to Field Operations
  • Assess and implement improved processes and new technologies for Field Operations, Warehouse and Shop Fabrication; collaborate with Management regarding the implementation of these improvements
  • Employ various initiatives to coach employees to optimize their capabilities
  • Represent Field, Warehouse and Shop Fabrication Operations on the EOS management Team
  • Implement strategic initiatives as directed by Management
  • Address special projects and issues as they arise
  • Recruit and coordinate a diverse workforce throughout all trade disciplines in the company
  • Assist Management Team in developing strategies to steer the company's future in a positive direction
  • Interact with Director of Project Management for installation coordination
  • Provide innovation and leadership to all field operations, Warehouse, Fabrication Shop and Safety Director
  • Control field operations costs and introduce tactical initiatives to address material and wage theft and other losses
  • Participate and engage in Industry Committees and workshops (NTCA, TCNA, TCCA and others)
  • Delegate responsibilities to ensure employees grow as capable participants
  • Conduct L10 (Level 10) Meetings within your accountability through EOS
  • General management of Field Operations, Warehouse Operations and Shop Fabrication
  • Complete performance reviews for all under Field, Warehouse and Shop Fabrication Operations Supervision
  • Manage all preconstruction field activities


Requirements:-


  • Must have working knowledge of construction math and geometry with spatial aptitude
  • Layout and Surveying skills
  • Mechanical aptitude is also required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Sage 300 accounting and WinEst estimating software is preferred.
  • Must have extensive hands-on experience in stone and tile construction installation and be technically competent in related construction methods and techniques.
  • Must be able to understand cost data, estimates, projections and schedules to maintain or increase the profitability of labor production on site
  • Proficiency in reading shop drawings and blueprints and laying out transferring those measurements in the field
  • Personnel management, relationship building, problem solving, team building, coaching and effective communication
  • 4-year bachelor's degree or a Degree in Construction Management - Commerical Construction
  • Good personality with strong leadership capability and supervisory skills. Position requires the ability to source and coordinate a large workforce with precision and profitable results
  • 5 years minimum experience as a stone or tile setter on commercial projects
  • Knowledge of building construction methods and materials
  • Minimum 3-years' experience as a construction superintendent or foreman
  • OSHA 30hr Safety Certification is required
  • Knowledge of multiple construction elements and details to enable coordination of other trades necessary for the assembly of the complete building structure
  • Minimum 5-years' experience in construction projects and project management
  • Must have the capacity for coordination of many elements of construction and large amounts of detail
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees or organization
