Director Of Engineering (Remote)

Position Summary
Our company is looking to hire a Director of Engineering, reporting directly to the CTO. This role will support the two development teams, including engineers, QA, and product. This position includes driving new product development, product life cycle management, and day-to-day administration of tasks associated with maintaining product development schedules, specs, and costs. This role will provide the opportunity to be a major part of a growing engineering team, as well as the chance to have a huge impact in the renewable energy industry.
Responsibilities

• Implement innovative technologies
• Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements
• Design strategies for future development projects based on the company’s overall objectives and resources
• Manage software development projects
• Coordinate with external stakeholders for new integrations and tools
• Hire engineers and coordinate their training
• Review and update policies relevant to internal systems and equipment
• Ensure compliance with security regulations
• Oversee our two development teams (26 total) and their projects

Requirements

• Work experience as a director of engineering or in a similar senior-level position at an engineering department
• Leadership abilities with a strategic mind
• Excellent project management skills
• Hands-on experience in back-end and front-end development
• BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant field
• Good understanding of agile methodologies
• Extensive experience with cloud technologies and modern human-computer interfaces
