The Director of the Cardiology Service Line will have oversight of the cardiovascular service line, including Diagnostic Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiovascular Recovery Unit, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Structural Heart Program, inpatient cardiac step-down, cardiac telemetry units, and monitor room. You will collaborate with other department leaders and lead with the best evidence-based practices.

The ideal candidate will have nursing leadership experience and high-level skills in communication and teamwork, developing relationships, and collaborating with teams. CVRU experience preferred.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and monitor budget(s) and ensure that the assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds. Coordinate and direct internal and externally driven audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Direct clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
• Plan, organize, and direct all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, and continuing education initiatives.
• Develop departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.

EDUCATION

• Master’s degree in nursing or related field. Bachelor’s degree in nursing if master’s is not in nursing.

EXPERIENCE

• Three years of registered nurse experience with one year in leadership.

LICENSURE

• Registered Nurse (RN) – Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN).
