Director of Academic Success Center (Re-opened) Job ID: 12827 Location: Bellevue College Full/Part Time: Full Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Position Summary The Director of the Academic Success Center (ASC) reports to the Dean of Connected Learning and is responsible for the overall design, administration, and evaluation of Center services that focus on improving student academic success and retention. The Director is responsible for promoting a common culture of academic support across campus, working with key stakeholders to maintain standards of practice and training protocols, and coordination of central tutoring campaigns. The role requires close, constructive collaboration with the Reading, Writing, and Math lab lead faculty, ASC staff and student peer tutors, and faculty across divisions, including consideration of curricular design and academic policies and procedures. The Director will lead stakeholders to define and implement post-pandemic communication and operational structures and processes for the Academic Success Center to meet its mission as a vital student support service that helps Bellevue College achieve strategic goals of improving student retention and completion while closing equity gaps. Overall duties of the position include managing individual, group, and course-based tutorial services for all Bellevue College students; recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating, and coaching tutors; supervising and mentoring staff; assessing program effectiveness; and implementing research-based best practices and improvements infused with equity and inclusion as necessary. The position plans future program initiatives, coordinates with the Center\'s Reading, Writing, and Math Lab personnel, collaborates with faculty, administrators, and staff, and manages multiple budgets that support the Center. The position requires strong teaching, presentation, and course development/instructional design skills, as well as a working knowledge of developmental education principles, group dynamics, tutorial methods, and study skills techniques. Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule Position Salary Range: \$87,469/ year - \$126,878/ year The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The salary will be determined based on candidate\'s qualifications and related experience, as well as market and business considerations. Typically, new hire starts no higher than \$97,295/ year based on Bellevue College Exempt salary schedule. We offer comprehensive compensation package with salary and benefits as the main components.
