Job Description
Job Summary


The Marketing Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing digital marketing strategies, content development, and generalist product and program marketing for our trade organization.


This position requires a deep understanding of digital marketing principles, strong project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.


The Marketing Director will be responsible for managing the organization's digital presence, including the website, content development, and coordinating marketing efforts for various products and programs. The Marketing Director will collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of digital marketing initiatives with organizational goals.


Responsibilities


  • Create and develop engaging digital content, including website assets, blog posts, articles, and other promotional materials.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns using analytics tools, and provide reports on key metrics and results.
  • Oversee and manage the organization's website, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies and content plans across various platforms.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts for various products and programs, including the PHTA apprenticeship program, mentor program, and publications marketing.
  • Interface with Content Management Systems, and Association Management System (database) to manage website content, member databases, and other digital assets.
  • Update and create digital and printed collateral for trade shows and industry events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and development, to ensure cohesive digital strategies and consistent brand messaging.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing, and recommend innovative approaches to enhance the organization's digital presence.


Please note: PHTA is a hybrid work environment and the position is based at PHTA’s headquarters in Alexandria, VA. The Marketing Director will be required to be in the office 2-3 days a week and must be willing to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on content development and generalist product and program marketing.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web design principles.
  • Expert knowledge of digital marketing principles, strategies, and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
