Job Description
Responsible for the overall enterprise-wide effectiveness and efficiency of the Climate Technologies cloud hosting environments, including colocation data centers, and on-premises edge ensuring levels of customer satisfaction are maintained. The Director of Global Infrastructure Services will lead the enterprise through the optimization and migration to new technologies, evaluate processing performance relating to cloud infrastructure utilization and reliability, and forecast financials, and physical, and human resources needed to meet the established service level objectives. This role will oversee and coordinate in a hybrid-cloud environment, business, continuance, and restoration plans that isolate problems and implement pre-planned alternative routes or systems to restore service.


As the Director, Infrastructure and Cloud Hosting Services, You Will:


  • Evaluate new technologies and solutions to meet the business requirements
  • Ensuring that there are proper backups and redundancy across cloud environments and on-premises environments
  • Oversee IT Service Cost Delivery model for the infrastructure portfolio, make sound financial recommendations for purchases, and demonstrate clear understanding of the Total Cost of Ownership
  • Partners with the Security team for computing systems security and compliance. Ensures all servers are up-to-date and patched with the latest security updates
  • Lead 24 x7 operations for cloud services, disaster recovery, security, and cost management
  • Responsible for design, planning, development, implementation, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure services components
  • Manage external specialists who will help implement and maintain the cloud environments
  • Ensure the maintenance, availability, and performance of all infrastructure hosting services (cloud and on-premises)
  • Accountable for infrastructure solution architecture to ensure that new products/platform infrastructure is aligned with business objectives and industry trends
  • Disaster Recovery and IT Services continuity planning to ensure that the business can recover from failure with minimal business impact
  • Managing day-to-day operations and providing strategic direction and leadership for the infrastructure Services, including budgeting, setting priorities, coordinating projects, resourcing, maintaining service levels, security, capacity management, server administration, and monitoring
  • Partners with the Network team for connectivity, quality of service, and security dependencies to support application and business services requirements
  • Provide strategy, direction setting, prioritization, planning, and execution for the infrastructure services globally. This includes oversight of hybrid-cloud environments and on-premises services
  • Serves as the single point of contact for all escalations related to services provided within this domain. This includes the assurance that all escalations are given high priority based on the severity level
  • Lead the strategy development and implementation for infrastructure optimization. Earn the trust and confidence of business unit management. Achieve optimization objectives by offering lower risk, lower cost, and speed to deliver utilizing lean practices and automation
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships and hold them accountable for delivery of outsourced functions


Required Education, Experience & Skills


  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communications abilities and exceptional customer service orientation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure and Services Management Experience
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate processes, using tools such as Terraform, ARM, Chef, Puppet, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Deep experience in planning and consolidating global infrastructure operations into a regional approach
  • Excellent project management skills in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through customer support
  • Bachelor or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields or equivalent work experience
  • Strong operational, automation, and cost optimization experience in hybrid cloud environment
  • Customer/Business support experience with highly technical, engineering-oriented organizations/environments
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an infrastructure cloud-based role is required
  • Advanced certification with one or more cloud providers, especially Azure (greatly preferred), and with fundamental infrastructure services therein, such as object storage, VMs, databases, storage, DNS, IPAM, and PaaS
  • Experience managing global support services and hosted systems
  • IT Services and Project Management process design experience
