Job Description
Job Summary


Primary relationship manager with the PA Department of Human Services (DHS). Manages the day to day operations of the State Government Programs (SGP) lines of business. Ensures the operational and financial success of the SGPs and supporting the development of strategies designed to sustain and grow the programs to provide high quality and cost-effective outcomes for members and patients.


Job Duties


  • Establishes, documents and maintains an operational scorecard to monitor all aspects of State Government Programs.
  • Manages employee performance within the department.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operational activities supporting contract compliance.
  • Researches and implements industry best practices in all aspects of the State Government Programs product line.
  • Works with leadership to improve quality, reduce cost and enhance the member and patient experience.
  • Identifies potential pilot programs and proposes their implementation to leadership and state and federal oversight agencies as applicable.
  • Ensures compliance with all aspects of the HealthChoices agreement.
  • Assures operational readiness for periodic audits.
  • Leads the operational planning process and supports strategic planning processes.
  • Establishes & maintains a collaborative relationship with DHS Contract Monitoring Team.
  • Develops reports to display improvement in and compliance with all established policies and procedures.
  • Develops and coordinates appropriate training for staff as well as staff from other departments that support State Government Programs.


Work is typically performed in an office environment. Travel may be required. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details


Experience With The Following Preferred


  • Experience managing Client relationships at a senior level.
  • Medicaid Managed Care knowledge and expertise
  • Medicaid policy expertise


Internet Requirements

Education
Experience
Bachelor's Degree- (Required), Master's Degree- (Preferred)
Minimum of 5 years-Health Insurance/Managed Care (Required), Minimum of 2 years-Managerial/Supervisory (Required)
Certification(s) and License(s)
