Summary
The Director of Early Childhood Education Programs will serve an important leadership role on the Education and Training team. The Director will report directly to the Chief Academic Officer. The Director will be responsible for leading a team in the development of high-quality, differentiated early childhood education program, as well as the tools, resources, guides, and supports to aid Goddard Schools in delivering the Goddard educational program with fidelity. The Director also collaborate with other Directors in the department and across departments to effectively support, implement and communicate the program. The Director will have a strong commitment to early childhood education and supporting the children and families the Goddard Schools serve.

Job Responsibilities
  • Help draft and update core education documents related to the philosophy and pedagogical approach of the Goddard program.
  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships with vendors and identified ECE organizations.
  • Provide direction, set expectations, and hold team members accountable for agreed-upon goals and deliverables. Current team includes a hybrid team of 5 managers and specialists with additional headcount possible.
  • Lead the development and implementation support of a proprietary curriculum and teaching/learning ecosystem.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Oversee the development of Goddard’s high-quality, exclusive early childhood program.
  • Implement a learning assessment regimen to provide insight on student development and program efficacy.
Job Requirements
  • Experience working in a “for-profit”/commerce related business sector. Must appreciate that we are a “for-profit” business delivering premium early childhood education products and services.
  • At least 5 years of experience creating and managing large education programs, developing and disseminating content, and building relationships with key ECE stakeholders.
  • Minimum 3 years of people management, providing direction, feedback, coaching, mentoring, and holding the team accountability for results.
  • Master’s Degree (required) in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Education or a related field.
  • 1-2 years managing/leading (directly or indirectly) education teams and large projects.
  • Experienced project manager/leader with a demonstrated track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
