Job Description

Food For The Poor, one of the largest international relief and development organizations in the nation, does much more than feed millions of the hungry poor primarily in 17 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America. This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the aged, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance. The Direct Marketing Specialist will support the development of mass marketing campaigns directed at pre-selected customers. Monitor all direct mail campaigns, processes and timing to ensure effective and on-time results. Work closely with Senior Director of Donor Development to plan content, communication strategy, and timelines for all direct mail campaign projects, ensuring effective and efficient implementation in support of the Department’s and Division’s strategic vision.


Duties


  • Collects and reviews response results of direct marketing campaigns and prepares performance reports to improve customer insight
  • Work to ensure that direct mail marketing campaign strategies are bridged to digital media strategies
  • Assist in managing the workflow for all direct mail projects
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and innovations and provide recommendations for adoption where appropriate
  • Work to ensure adherence to vision, strategy, goals, budget, brand and position as established by the Division and Department
  • Assist to track, evaluate, and analyze campaign effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
  • This position is Remote/Hybrid
  • Analyzes marketing data and identifies ways to deliver communications that compel customer response
  • Solicit feedback and take action to continuously improve success of team
  • Assist in ensuring end-to-end management between Division and FFTP internal teams with creation of detailed schedules and comprehensive communication processes
  • Identify all tasks to be completed within a direct mail campaign and collaborate with appropriate team members and departments to accomplish the tasks working with deadlines, goals, and budget
  • Assist in creating Master Calendar of Appeals and manage changes
  • Develop solid and comprehensive campaign briefs that provide clear direction, content, and product information for in-house creative team
  • Review campaign creative proofs to ensure accuracy of data, content, messaging and strategy
  • Understand reports and reporting to help determine the effectiveness of direct mail campaigns

  • Advanced level experience with Microsoft Computer applications
  • Diplomatic, thoughtful, and action-oriented communicator
  • Must be very well-spoken; capable and comfortable in delivering information successfully to all levels of individuals
  • Superb listening skills
  • Ability to work diligently, effectively and efficiently while managing multiple deadlines of like priority


Education And Experience


  • At least 3-7 years of experience in a similar/directly related functions
  • Excellent and proven project management skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field experience strongly preferred
  • Exquisite verbal, as well as written, communication skills
