Job Summary:

The Director, Network Revenue Cycle is responsible for directing Patient Financial Services to include Billing, Collections, Customer services, Cash posting, Denial Management and Budget preparation. Responsible for continued improvement in workflows through education, training, auditing and positive reinforcement of appropriate working practices. The position will include management of Valhalla, Charity, Health Alliance and Mid Hudson Regional.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors daily cash flow
• Identifies and documents all system related issues. Monitors implementation/updating electronic billing systems.
• Recommends department best practices for the purpose of maximizing revenues through policy and workflow reviews across all revenue cycle areas
• Performs other related duties as assigned, including some travel to all locations.
• Review vendor invoices to ensure compliance with agreements
• Monitors follow up activity on open receivables.
• Conducts detailed analysis and systems surveys of various WMC Health revenue cycle operations with a view toward applying automated information systems.
• Analyze A/R and makes recommendations to patient accounts for effective collections on reimbursement based on the third party policies.
• Keeps abreast of billing regulatory changes and informs staff of new developments. Conducts in-service education sessions where applicable
• Knowledge of metrics, analytics, and data synthesis in healthcare revenue cycle management to identify trends, produce reliable forecasts and projections
• Assists with interviews, hiring, orientation, scheduling, goal setting, progressive discipline/termination and annual performance reviews in a timely manner.
• Assists managed care department with negotiations and financial models

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of management level healthcare finance experience in the areas of Revenue Cycle

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration of related field, required.
