Job Description
The Digital Media Specialist will be responsible for implementing the Museum's digital marketing strategy from concept to publication. Alongside the Director of Marketing and Communications, they will research and define target audiences, manage content creation and publishing processes, and monitor consumer and content metrics. The Digital Media Specialist will work collaboratively and cross-departmentally to communicate the Museum's brand, mission, and vision to the community.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Implement digital content goals aligned with the Museum's communication strategy.
  • Research content and consumer trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing to the defined target audience.
  • Research and define target audiences.
  • Manage and produce video and photo content.
  • Design creative assets according to CDM's brand guidelines for operational, programmatic, and event purposes.
  • Create and update social media content and posting schedules.
  • Proofread and edit content before publishing.
  • Manage website content and design.
  • Manage and update digital and print signage.
  • Oversee social media accounts to include Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Monitor, interact with, and analyze audience engagement and analytics.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Strong organizational and project management skills preferred
  • Strong graphic design skills, with experience working in content and layout design tools such as Canva, InDesign
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social media scheduling platforms like Later, Hootsuite
  • Experience with web design and content management systems like Webflow, WordPress
  • Photography/videography skills preferred
  • Expert at utilizing social media platforms
  • Highly creative
  • Strong interpersonal skills
Educational/Experience Preferences
  • Education or relative experience in digital media, marketing, communications, or related field preferred
  • At least two years of experience in related field
