Position Highlights

• Works collaboratively with other members of the transplant team.
• Provides services in a compassionate, culturally competent, and tactful manner.

Job Summary

• Responsible to assess nutritional needs and facilitate plans with patient/family for discharge and aftercare.
• The Dietitian is responsible to plan, organize and implement nutritional services to transplant candidates/transplant recipients and potential living donors/living donors, their caregivers, and staff to support and enhance the patient’s nutritional status.
• Maintains contact with referring agencies and related people and with community resources used for referral.

Education And/or Experience

• One year of experience and advanced certifications in specialty are preferred.
• Dietetic Internship or similar Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics approved program required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Certification/Licensure/Registrations

• Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or obtain registration within six months of hire date required.
• Licensed as a Dietitian in the state of South Dakota required. If not yet licensed, may work under a temp nutritionist permit up to one year, potential for multiple state licensure.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $23.75 - $36.00 per hour
