We have an exciting opportunity open for a Development Intern based in our Yarmouth office with the ability to work remote.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Development Intern is responsible for collaboratively working with the entire Peaks Renewables Business Development & Engineering Team under the direction of the Director, Renewable Project Development. They will help evaluate feasibility of new projects, learn various types of feedstocks, and key project parameters for each type. The Development Intern will be tasked with making a presentation to the senior management on their work regarding project opportunities.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Other project and industry-specific projects as directed by the Director, Renewable Project Development
  • Evaluate various project opportunities and identify under which circumstances each should be pursued
  • Attend development meetings pertaining to Summit’s renewable natural gas projects
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-3 years of college courses completed in business, economics, or other study
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
  • Must be willing to build rapport with consultants and other project partners via Teams calls and in-person meetings.
  • Candidates need to have solid computer skills and be able to use common computer programs such as Excel and Word.
  • Candidates must be outgoing and comfortable in a fast paced, adapting work environment.
  • Must display a high level of verbal skills.
  • Must exhibit high levels of social and interpersonal skills.
