GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop Introduction to Hospitality and Tourism Management (HRM101) in an online format consistent with Cape Cod Community College's asynchronous online course development quality standards and/or deliver online instruction and assessment of student learning. This course is to be delivered in the Fall 2023 semester.


Job Requirements:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • Experience developing and using multimedia (audio, video, podcasts, etc.) to enhance student engagement in active and collaborative learning.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Experience teaching a diverse student body at a community college or similar environment.
  • Master's degree in Business, or a closely related field.
  • Enthusiasm for and interest in excellence for the delivery of online learning.
  • College-level teaching experience in hospitality and tourism courses.
  • Experience using evidence based best-practices in online learning pedagogy (e.g., frequent communication, active learning practices) that supports student success in ubiquitous spaces.
  • Work experience in the hospitality and tourism field.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional development in teaching at the community college level.
  • Expertise teaching the necessary content knowledge in Hospitality and Tourism, using a popular Learning Management System (i.e. Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard). (Moodle training with respect to course organization and optimization will be provided as needed.

Additional Information:


COMPENSATION
: Part-time, non-benefited MCCC position. Compensation for developing this online course $500/credit hour. Compensation for course delivery follows the guideline of the relevant MCCC contract (DCE Pay Scale).
