Job Description

Hope you're doing well! I am reaching out to see if you'd be interested in a new full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity I'm working on with a Portland-Based company. We are looking for a Designer/Copywriter.


Location: Onsite 5 days a week in Tigard, OR

Duration: 6-months with potential for full-time hire

Pay: $25-38/hr, DOE

Ideal Candidate: 3+ years of professional writing and design experience with a solid portfolio of strategic work. You can write ad copy in short/long form and help in graphic design works as well with the needed skills for both.

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate, concept, write and design for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, and social media). The most successful candidate will be a quick learner with a versatile style and thrives in all aspects of marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Thrive in an environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications- and client-related industry trends.
  • Continually raise the bar with fresh design and copy.
  • Collaborate with other marketing team members and stakeholders to ensure the appropriate concepts, themes and messages are represented effectively and consistently for the business objective(s) and audience.
  • Develop solutions that connect with a desired audience and drive action.
  • Ownership of projects from beginning to end.
  • Concept, write and design for a range of marketing and communications materials.
  • Research and understand a client’s needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject-matter experts, and in-person meetings.
  • Interpret creative briefs.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Work with departments across the organization.
  • Have high standards for brand consistency and cohesiveness.
