This position is based in ­Charlotte, NC.

Position Overview:

The Demand Planning Manager plays a key role in ensuring accurate demand forecasting and inventory optimization to support the organization's supply chain operations. Working closely with Product Management, the Demand Planning Manager leads cross-functional teams to align demand plans with sales, marketing, and production initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in demand planning, data analysis, and supply chain management, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.


  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate demand planning insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer insights to forecast future demand accurately.
  • Work closely with supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.
  • Process owner for budget, forecast, product pricing, and SKU rationalization.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Product Management to analyze effectiveness of new product introductions, marketing programs and promotions.
  • Create and automate analytical tools to identify high level trends and / or anomalies in product performance based on market share, bookings, and sales into and through the channel.
  • Develop and implement demand planning processes to achieve accurate forecasting and optimize inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to align demand plans with business objectives and ensure adequate supply.
  • Utilize demand planning software and other tools to support forecasting and reporting activities.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Monitor and analyze demand forecast accuracy, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Establish and lead effective SIOP process.


  • Proficient in demand planning methodologies, statistical analysis, and forecasting techniques
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or related roles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and SQL
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience with demand planning software or ERP systems (e.g., DSX, Dynamics) is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • Business Analyst, Sales, or Marketing experience
  • Experience using statistical data packages (e.g. Python & associated libraries)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
