Job Summary


This position involves the general delivery and trucking of equipment, furniture, and supplies for departments of the university. This person will also make mail deliveries and on occasion, take trucking runs to the twin cities. This position is considered essential during natural and man-made disasters, and during inclement weather. Employee will report for duty as directed by their supervisor and is subject to recall during these types of events.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • For twin cities trucking trips, must be familiar with roadways and downtown area.
  • Employee shall follow all safety rules and regulations and take all necessary precautions to prevent injury and illness.
  • Knowledge of the operation of equipment used in moving large, heavy machines, operation of trucks and snow removal equipment.
  • Employee is required to possess a commercial driver’s license and as such, is subject to the requirements of the university’s drug and alcohol testing program.
