Job Description

Associated Couriers is one of the nation's fastest growing courier companies that focuses a variety of delivery services ranging from delivering medical specimens, hazardous materials, e-commerce, retail logistics, pharmaceuticals, and final mile consumer products.
Associated Couriers provides a unique delivery service for the medical sector and is looking for a safe and dependable Full-Time CDL Class B Hazmat Delivery Driver to join our Des Plaines, IL team on a full-time basis covering various local routes.
Schedule: Open Availability Including Nights & Weekends
*We are pleased to offer a $2,500 sign on bonus for candidates hired on that have a Class B CDL and an active Hazmat endorsement at time of hire. This bonus will be paid out in two lump sums, $1,250 after 6 months of employment, and $1,250 after 1 year of employment.
Responsibilities:
  • Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
  • Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
  • Track and report working hours
  • Other responsibilities as delegated by management
  • Comply with ICC and DOT regulations daily
  • Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip
  • Load and unload freight to and from vehicle using safety perimeters that are put into place
  • Responsible for counting and recording quantities and styles of product delivered and picked up to ensure accurate paperwork for customer transactions
  • Provide a high standard of Customer Service while delivering goods to customers
  • Completes Hazardous Material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT/TC Regulations
  • Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times
  • Transport freight from distribution to delivery site without error
  • Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
