Job Description
New Gateways, Inc. is a nonprofit organization in Waterford, MI that aims to enrich the life of adults (26+ years) with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We do this by enhancing and supporting skills that promote independent choice and opportunity for meaningful community inclusion.


We are actively seeking Direct Care Workers to join our team to provide exemplary care and support for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities at a Community Activity Program that offers skill building, community, and transportation services.


  • Must pass a criminal background check, valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Flexible daytime hours from 8am-3pm Monday-Friday.
  • Starting pay is $16.00 an hour with lots of room for advancement!
  • New Gateways is a participating employer of the MI Direct Support Professionals Apprenticeship Program in collaboration with the MI Department of Labor and Oakland Community College.
