Day Care Assistant Jobs

This is a part-time position of 3 days/week: 7:15 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Effective communication with families and co-workers.
• Interacting with the children to support learning through education and play.
• Maintaining a safe and home like learning environment.
• Assisting with crafts and learning activities.
• Maintaining cleanliness of classroom.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to complete required training courses prior to employment (see below DHS requirements).
• Must have experience with and enjoy working with children.
• Physically able to perform activities required by position.
• 18 years of age or older.

Licensing Requirements:

This position requires a physician’s report and background study to remain on file. Assistant must be First Aid, CPR, SUIDS, & AHT Certified. Must have completed 2 hours of Supervising for Safety Training and provide documentation. Must have completed 4 hours of Child Development / Behavior Guidance training and provide documentation. Ongoing annual continuing education credits are also required. *The Company provides a training and education reimbursement plan to help defer costs of licensing requirements. In addition, all employees of the Archdiocese who work with children are required to complete E3/Virtus Training.
