Job Description
Summary

Quantitative Researchers at Atto Trading are responsible for building models, strategies for our automated trading system. As a mix of the trading and software developer roles, this work involves many things: analyzing large datasets, building and testing models, creating new trading strategies, and writing the code that implements them.

The successful candidate will join the team of existing researchers. In addition to possessing excellent analytical and technical skills, the successful candidate will be a creative problem solver and a strong team player.

Responsibilities
  • Exploring trading ideas by analyzing market data and market microstructure for patterns. Creating patterns for analyzing data.
  • Analyzing large datasets of high-frequency market data to test hypotheses and extract insights.
  • Interaction with programmers for addition of new features to our trade platform.
  • Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-frequency trading algorithms, and enhance existing ones.
  • Contributing to libraries of analytical computations to support market data analysis and trading.
Qualifications

We are interested in both soon-to-be/recent graduates and experienced professionals who possess the following:

  • Good communication and team skills.
  • Highly proficient in statistics.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Graduate degree in statistics, math, science, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with data visualization; data manipulation/data processing.
  • High level of proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn) programming.
  • Close attention to detail, ability to work to very high standards.
Advantageous Experience
  • Experience developing financial models.
  • Experience with C++.
  • Familiar with Linux.
  • Experience with big data.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, financial instruments.
