As a client-facing data analyst on our Navy-Marine Corps team, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, you’ll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact on national security priorities.

How You’ll Contribute:Â

As a data analyst on our team, you’ll:Â

• Apply consulting skills and data analytics experience by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience.Â
• Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.Â
• Apply data visualization through different formats such as Qlik.
• Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, scripting languages such as Python, and Microsoft Office Suite.Â
• Grow your communication and technical skills by merging consulting and big data to create data-centric solutions across mission areas.
• €‹Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships.
• Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through analysis of large data sets.Â
• Contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making across multiple organizations.Â

Â

You Have: Â

• 2+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
• 2+ years of experience with creating and maintaining report visuals, structure, and processes with BI Dashboard tools and development, including Tableau, Qlik Sense, or Power BI
• Ability to facilitate focus group meetings with various levels of stakeholders and senior leadership
• Ability to analyze structured and unstructured data sources
• Secret clearance
• 2+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
• Experience with using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to develop predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum processes

Nice If You Have: Â

• 2+ years of experience with Cloud or Server services
• Ability to learn a programming language
• Knowledge of data pipeline or ETL technologies, including Databricks and Trifacta
• Master’s degreeÂ
• 2+ years of experience with the DoD or military

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
