Data Scientist Intern Jobs

JOB SUMMARY:
The Data Science Intern will leverage their strong educational training in data science, statistics and analytics to meaningfully contribute to analytics projects working in collaboration with the GBE Data Science team.
This is a temporary, non-exempt, remote position reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data Science & Advanced Analytics, Global Business Effectiveness
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help support the deployment of the underlying data infrastructure in support of enabling efficient roll out of analytics
• Leverage knowledge/learnings of machine learning techniques to improve current modeling, especially as related to patient starts and early discontinuation
• Support the refinement of Novocure’s business intelligence (BI) products through participation in team meetings with stakeholders, proactively providing ideas, and ultimately collaborating on the integration of new concepts/analytics into the BI product
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as all other applicable laws and regulations, e.g. HIPAA and GDPR
• Participate in all GBE and Data Science team meetings
• Collaborate with data science team and commercial teams on analytics related projects, leveraging education and capabilities in data science

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Exceptional collaboration skills with a drive toward inclusion, comfortable working in matrix environment
• Bachelor’s degree coursework in analytics/statistics/data science:
• Education or experience with data manipulation, statistics, regression, classification, and other modeling techniques
• Experience with or interesting in learning R for data analytics, python is acceptable
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must have a positive “can do” attitude
• Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
• Flexible toward change can accept change to achieve objectives

OTHER:

• Travel to other Novocure domestic and international locations as needed (20%)
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
