Position Summary

Data Interns collect, verify, and maintain a database of financial, demographic, geospatial, and administrative information from legal documents published by municipal bond issuers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Capture and record specific financial and demographic data out of PDF documents.
• Find or create geographic shape files corresponding to the jurisdictional boundaries of municipal issuers.
• Establish and record digital links between individual bonds and their issuers.

• Ability to self-motivate and work independently
• Ability to learn about and operate proprietary software
• Familiarity with financial documents and accounting practices preferred
• Strong time management skills
• Strong attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Certifications and Experience)

• Current enrollment at a college or university, accounting, finance, public or related business majors preferred
• Basic knowledge in financial accounting
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
