Data Entry Clerk Jobs

Description

We are looking for a data entry specialist for our client in the public sector in Compton for an approximately 5 month contract for a project.

Specific Duties Will Include

• Error Correction: Rectifying errors following standard procedures.
• Data Extraction and Reporting: Extracting and compiling information from databases to create additional data sources and reports.
• Data Reconciliation: Identifying and resolving discrepancies in data input.
• Data Entry and Verification: Reviewing, verifying, and entering moderately complex data from source materials.
• Document Modification: Creating and editing multiple documents related to maintenance work using Oracle WAM.

In summary, this person will be handling various tasks related to maintenance work, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, and using Excel and possibly SQL to manipulate and extract data. They need to be detail-oriented, have excellent analytical skills, and be effective communicators to succeed in this role. Optional project management skills would be an added advantage, but not necessary.

Requirements

This person will be responsible for various tasks related to data entry maintenance work.

• Attention to Detail: They must pay close attention to even the smallest details and produce accurate work.
• Making Logical Connections: They should be able to connect similar situations even if they are not exactly the same.
• Comfortable with Repetitive Tasks: They will work on tasks that may be repetitive, such as data entry.
• Analyzing and Problem Solving: They will need to carefully examine and understand different situations and find effective solutions to problems.
• Understanding Objectives: They must grasp the goals and scope of their assignments to work efficiently.
• Understanding Complex Instructions: They should be able to comprehend and follow complex instructions given to them.
• Optional SQL Knowledge: While SQL knowledge is not a requirement, it would be beneficial for their role.
• Project Management Skills (Optional): Having project management skills would be advantageous, although not mandatory.
• Quick Adaptation: They should be able to learn and adjust quickly to new applications.
• Excel Expertise: They should be skilled in using Excel for various data-related tasks.
• Communication: They need to be able to effectively convey information and communicate with others.
• Timely Task Completion: They are expected to complete their tasks accurately and within the agreed-upon timeframes.
• No Coding Required: They do not need coding or programming skills for this job.
