Job Description
Responsibilities
DOJ in Oxford, Mississippi is looking for a Data Entry clerk for a contract role. The Data Entry Clerk, shall provide legal services to include the following:
  • Use common online resources, obtain and analyze routine financial information on debtors to determine their present and future potential ability to pay.
  • Prepare payment plans which involve reviewing financial asset information the debtor has submitted.
  • Use a variety of automated systems to conduct research, initiate documents for debt collection actions and track debtor accounts.
  • Communicate with debtors to present options for debt payments, answer questions, explain pertinent procedures, clarify information, and work cases to resolution.
  • Perform a wide range of technical support duties involving the processing of cases within the financial litigation function.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Serve as a technician in the area of financial litigation and is responsible for directly and independently supporting Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) by providing a wide variety of technical assistance services.
