Data Analyst Jobs

GDH Consulting has a partnered energy organization that is adding an enterprise data analyst to their team. You will play an innovative role in creating business value through enterprise data analytics.

Candidate must visualize information and develop engaging reports on the results of data analysis. Position will translate functional group needs into analytics requirements to support business decisions and workflows. Will also create data models to identify trends in large data sets. Candidate will support and train Data Analysts and Data Users to create visualizations and improve user experience through dashboards and user interfaces.

Candidates must have knowledge of database management, Python, SQL, programming, HTML 5, JavaScript, Qlik Sense scripting and ETL frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Train users to better use new and existing tooling for data value creation.
• Use data munging skills to understand, model and deliver valuable insights to business objectives.
• Use design thinking principles to develop data and analytics products to effectively solve customer needs.
• Advise Functional Groups on analytics and visualization approaches to solve business problems.
• Perform and provide statistical analysis.
• Oral and written communications of business conclusions and functional recommendations to both internal or external clients
• Use mathematical and statistical methods to develop insights.
• Provide advisement on data valuation and usage.
• Evangelize Data as an Asset
• Utilizing data pipelines created by Data Engineers, build, validate and manage data models for analysis.
• Contribute input to the data strategy and provide feedback to help ensure data strategy is aligned with user needs.
• Apply data management principles to ensure appropriate governance and accuracy of data.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate technical details to management and peers
• Other various projects and assignments as directed
• 2 - 5+ years of industry or analytics experience.
• Knowledge of database management, Python, SQL, programming, HTML 5, JavaScript, Qlik Sense scripting and ETL frameworks.
• Experience working with statistics, large amounts of data, and Excel.
• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
• Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative field (Finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, Science), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
