Job Description

Reports to: Principal


Purpose: Employee will instruct students using the NC Essential Standards in Dance


Qualifications:

  • BA or BS in Dance or substantial experience in teaching elementary children in an organized setting
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with staff members as needed to integrate arts into core instruction
  • Contribute to extra-curricular performances given by students
  • Offer student challenging work in the area of dance
  • Plan lessons based on the North Carolina Essential Standards for the grade level
  • Provide a safe environment- physical, emotional, and psychological for all students
  • Demonstrates dance methods and procedures to students
  • Provide students feedback on their work
  • Differentiate instruction for students based on their skills and capabilities
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor


Term of Employment: 10 month employment


Proposed Salary: Depends on experience and Licensure
