Job Description
Join our Customer Service Team at Eastside Food Co-op in the Heart of Northeast! PURPOSE: C ustomer Service staff will provide excellent customer service at the cash register and customer service desk and fulfill all aspects of the Cashier and Eastside To-Go Staff job description . Customer Service staff will maintain a clean, stocked, and inviting work environment, and are positive contributors to the co-op team. ALL CO-OP STAFF WILL: Use all available tools and resources in order to provide excellent and knowledgeable customer service to all customers, coworkers, and vendors Communicate professionally and respectfully with everyone you encounter while at work Adhere to all store and department policies and procedures Demonstrate regular, predictable good attendance Attend huddles and meetings as scheduled Commit to contributing to a positive, team-building work environment ALL CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF WILL: Perform and show proficiency in all aspects of the Cashier / Eastside To Go Staff job description Provide excellent customer service assisting with transactions, returns, ownership/FARE signups, co-op forms, in-store transfers, scanning/printing, and other processes Provide register and Eastside To-Go support as needed Coordinate communication between customers, departments, vendors, and outside contractors Staff, maintain, and stock the customer service desk Maintain community boards Utilize SMS to look up receipts, reports, and other details beyond what's available at the register Provide , collect , and distribute job applications and customer comment cards Answer the phone on behalf of the co-op , answering questions or directing callers to an appropriate recipient C heck SharePoint and the customer service email daily as well as perform tasks with basic software Make inboxes for new staff at the direction of Human Resources Perform responsibilities as a deposit clerk and hand off deposit bags to Brinks Troubleshoot issues with the SMS register system Perform tasks as directed by Shift Leads and M anagers THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS: Passion for high quality natural foods and co-ops Exceptional customer service skills The ability to balance multiple priorities Computer and organizational skills Self-motivation; comfortable taking initiative and prioritizing tasks Desire to grow skills and knowledge Weekend availability The ability to work with limited and no supervision PHYSICAL DEMANDS Standing, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, and walking for extended periods of time per shift Repetitive bending and lifting of loads up to 50 pounds; pushing and pulling carts weighing up to 400 pounds Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezer, outdoors, etc.) Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation Job Posted by ApplicantPro
