Job Description

Pay Grade/Pay Range:$15.22

Department/Organization: 500002 - Bryant Conference Center

Normal Work Schedule: The schedule is based on business needs which may or may not include working days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Job Summary: Performs duties associated with the cleaning and maintenance of University buildings. This is the entry level position to the Custodian Career Ladder.

Additional Department Summary: Must be able to work independently and prioritize assigned tasks including setting up event rooms with equipment and furniture, performing all tasks associated with cleaning the building, performing light maintenance to the building, and helping to secure the building as needed.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to lift, handle and maneuver the tools, materials and supplies of the job. Must be able to climb stairs. Must be able to work different shifts. A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the assignment.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds on a consistent basis, with or without accommodation. Must be able to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Skills and Knowledge: Must be able to compose, send and receive email. Must be able to operate and use a smartphone for business purposes.
