Job Description
Overview


The Curriculum Coordinator will assist the Director of Academic Education in managing the curriculum and content for the School of Physician Assistant Studies Programs, within the College of Health and Human Services. This individual will organize and facilitate sections, manage, monitor and enforce deadlines and coordinate speakers in order to assist with the curriculum achieving and exceeding program goals .

Responsibilities


  • Maintain student records.
  • Draft financial, statistical, narrative, and other reports as requested.
  • Assist with the development of short and long range strategic plans.
  • Assist in the development of policy and procedure protocols for all section related activities send deadline reminders, and follow up with faculty on needed information, etc.
  • Maintain schedules of experiential events for didactic year students.
  • Coordinate purchase orders and budget requests.
  • Maintain adjunct faculty records.
  • Assist adjunct professors with administrative support.
  • Accurately prepare/review exam questions in the exam database.
  • Assist in the development of the curriculum in all stages of the program to include the didactic and clinical phases.
  • Arrange, coordinate, and facilitate conferences and committee meetings.
  • Work cooperatively with the program coordinator
  • Assist the Director of Academic Education in management of the program’s Didactic year.
  • Ensures timely and accurate information in department databases.
  • Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as needed/assigned.
  • Participate in all aspects of the self-study process.
  • Assist in evaluation of performance in both the didactic and clinical phases.
  • Maintains and updates databases [Canvas, Exam Soft, University files] (processing updates, making corrections and/or additions to the database, archiving data timely, contributing to quality control activities, adhering to established protocols, etc.).
  • Assist the faculty with making copies of syllabi, lessons plans, tests, and other tasks related to teaching
  • Manage all facility logistical arrangements for lectures, labs and small groups.
  • Assist in the development and review of the mission, goals, and objective of the program.
  • Proctor and grade tests (with direction).
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum that conforms to the program’s mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Input and monitor courses in EMS, Canvas, and Yuja.
  • Coordinate, oversee, and facilitate experimental procedures run by faculty and/or students in the lab.
  • Support the Director of Academic Education and Program Director in projects.


Education


Qualifications


  • College graduate with science background preferred, but can also have extensive background in learning platforms and online education.


Skills & Abilities


  • Computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience in online testing platforms
  • Experience in Online education delivery
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Soft Skills)
  • Experience with Zoom technology
  • Experience in Learning Management Systems and educational delivery platforms
  • Team collaboration
