Damar is looking for a Crises Administrator to join our team! The Crisis Administrator is responsible for directing the development, implementation and evaluation of unit programming including leading and monitoring treatment services and actively promoting the agency’s philosophy in the delivery of services. The Crisis Administrator serves as a member of Damar's interdisciplinary team and is responsible for development, implementation and evaluation of unit programming for the two crisis units.

  • Collaborates with IBI and support services including HR, PQI, Dietary, and medical records to meet program expectations.
  • Introduces program in person when able and through follow up email.
  • Schedules feedback meetings upon intake before or on the 30th day.
  • Follows up on billing hours and bill to insurance or DCS.
  • Ensures accounting has necessary insurance denials/approvals.
  • Provides follow up and rectifies any DCS billing denials within 48 hours.
  • Maintains calendar of testing assignments which requires tracking of admissions and discharges.
  • Provides support to psych services team with regard to documentation and communication with DCS and external providers that are difficult and not responding.
  • Responsible for direct billing oversight.
  • Develops and conducts training programs with staff concerning treatment issues.
  • Works closely with the Vice President, Performance Management to ensure timely and quality services are delivered every day to every client in care.
  • Provides direct support to the case management.
  • Sends prior authorization.
  • Serves as a liaison to referral sources, community agencies and families to ensure best practices and delivery of services.
  • Maintains calendars for 5 day SI/SIB reassessments.
  • Ensures accurate insurance information including insurance type and number upon admission.
  • Ensures program implementation, coordination, monitoring, documentation, evaluation and revision of behavior plans as warranted for all clients in treatment.
  • Meets DCS/guardians/team members of child at intake.
  • Provides oversight of clinical team to complete their own service logs.
  • Complete timelines which includes summary of behaviors, medical appointments, medications, diagnosis and special precautions.
  • Works closely with the psychologist(s) to prepare and present final reports.
  • Point person for audits while ensuring all psych services documentation is in its appropriate place and meets PQI standards.
  • Completes admission billing including clinical MHA for insurance.


What you need to be considered...


  • Two years of administrative/supervisory experience. Four years of experience working with individuals with developmental and behavioral challenges.
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
  • Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
  • No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
  • Must meet and maintain background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in human service discipline (i.e., psychology, social work, special education or related behavioral science) preferred.

Physical Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
