Job Description
The Creative Director will provide leadership for the Creative Team to drive, elevate, and evolve the Harry & David brand. The Creative Director guides and develops the execution of creative for the all print and digital marketing, for Harry & David, Wolferman's and Stock Yards across all channels, as well as large-scale seasonal and campaign initiatives and editorial content. The position is charged with delivering high quality creative that supports a world-class customer experience, drives demand, and supports the goals of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
. Strategically align creative concepts and interaction design with merchandising and marketing strategies and overall brand direction
. Deliver creative solutions and compelling design that communicate clearly and cut through in the marketplace
. Oversee design and execution of creative, including catalog and print marketing, website creative, email, and other digital channels, and retail
. Ensure creative execution meets merchant and marketing objectives; review details of all elements to drive strong, clear, and on-brand communication
. Lead development and presentation of creative for seasonal strategy and other large-scale campaigns
. Collaborate in the strategies and leadership for supporting synergy between catalogue, online, and stores channels
. Direct leadership and supervision for a staff of designers and copywriters
. Mentor, trains, and develop junior members of the creative team
. Stay abreast of technological innovations in graphic design across ecommerce channels
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university - preferably in Design or Marketing
. Minimum 10-12 years design experience
. Minimum 5 years managing direct reports in a leadership role within a creative team
. Experience delivering on business and creative goals through design
. Highly developed sense of design/style
. Impeccable design fundamentals
. Strong grasp of marketing concepts and fundamentals
. Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into clear, customer-friendly experiences
. Broad understanding of what represents best-in-class on the web
. Discerning eye for photo editing, cropping, and composing
. Clear passion for interactive media space
. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
. Positive, constructive, and collaborative approach
. Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills required
