Finishing Specialist

Reports to: Finishing Lead/Production Coordinator

: This position executes finishing of graphic prints and display dimensionals, based on style of graphic, skill set, and client requirements.

Minimum Skills Required:

Proven competence in using a variety of measuring devices – rulers, calipers, scales, etc.

Proven experience with hand tools, Proven competence in arithmetic, Read and write English to a technical specification level, Must be able to lift 70 pounds, Must be able to climb ladders to 12 feet, Some analytic and problem solving capacity, Able to compare, Attention to detail, Moderate ability to prioritize tasks, Timeliness and deadline awareness, Rapid comprehension of demonstrated tasks, Demonstrated care in product handling, Ability to communicate with colleagues, Ability to interact in a rich team atmosphere

Duties:

Loading Dock receiving and shipping duties, cleaning as directed

Attend and engage in production meeting to determine day plan

Receive assignments to break down print rolls

Interface with Finishing Lead for timing and order accuracy

Offload printed material from printers

Cutting and preparing mounting and printing boards

Mounting/Laminating of printed materials

Trimming of printed materials

Stitching and binding of fabric and vinyl products

Assemble and repair assorted display hardware – banner stands, displays, etc.

Set-up, take down and packaging of assorted trade show display products

Final personal QC check of orders with Finishing/QC Lead

Transfer personal production information to Finishing Lead for evening shift Finishers

Assist Shipping Lead to prepare afternoon shipping

Packaging of orders/crate construction

Cleaning of Mounting and Trimming areas
