Cost Accountant Jobs

LHB Industries is currently seeking a Cost Accountant with 2 or more years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment to join our team. Responsibilities:
• Manages month-end close activities, some which include: general ledger reconciliation, account valuation, and creation of variance/trend analysis.
• Analyzes material and gross profit variances as well as gross margins comparative to prior periods, budget, forecast, customer and product type.
• Ensures accuracy of financial reporting by analyzing, investigating and resolving transaction discrepancies , specifically as it relates to inventory counts and valuation.
• Manages standard costs and prepares market survey / cost analysis packages in conjunction with contracted price change requests.
• Prepares the annual cost of goods sold budget and assists in the completion of year-end close duties.

Ideal candidate:
• 2 years accounting experience in manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting field required
• ERP experience (MS Dynamics NAV/BC preferred)
