Description
The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.
We are currently seeking a Cosmetologist at our facility. Join our team if you want to give back to those who have given so much for our Country. Make a lasting impression on our Veterans assisting them by:
  • Provides hair care for the residents at our facility which includes the cutting, shampooing, conditioning, setting and styling of hair.
  • Performs treatment care for hair and scalp conditions.
  • Keeps implements and equipment in clean and sterile condition, maintains cleanliness of work area.
  • Performs duties on units as required.
The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering Independence, preserving Dignity, and providing Compassionate Care.
This job requires mandatory COVID 19 vaccination or an approved exemption in accordance with CMS-3415-IFC from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This means if appointed to the position, the applicant must have completed the primary vaccination series for COVID-19, which means the administration of a single- dose vaccine or the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine upon commencement of employment. The vaccine received must be one of the FDA-approved or FDA-authorized vaccines. Proof of vaccination will be required. If a medical or religious exemption is sought, the candidate must submit paperwork to the employer prior to appointment for review and approval.

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
