Compensation:$42.00/hr

The Role

The Correctional Nurse provides Medication Assisted Treatment services to Marion County Jail inmates under the direction of Ideal Option providers and Leadership Team.This position includes 20 hours of case management to be performed remotely, but is not a fully remote position. Additional responsibilities include:

• Inmate discharge planning, including knowledge of Ideal Option office-based MAT treatment and referral planning
• Respond to emergency situations as needed and refer to higher levels of care
• Maintain accurate medication and supplies, documentation of pill counts, including medication preparation and dispensing per DEA standards
• Cover on-call nursing hours
• Document medical treatment and services provided; maintain inmate medical records in the Electronic Health Record keeper (EHR) Electronic Clinic Works (eCW)
• Work as an Ideal Option team member and uphold professional relationships with Ideal Option employees, as well as external partners
• Coordinate treatment with primary care and specialty providers (Dentists, Medication Assisted-Treatment facilities, Mental Health Providers, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned
• Assist medical providers and corrections officers as necessary
• Assess inmate health problems and refer to and Ideal Option provider as needed
• Perform intake assessments, screenings, and gather necessary health histories and records for MAT treatment

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Active Unrestricted RN Licensure
• Previous MAT or Corrections Nursing experience a plus
• Must pass corrections Background Screening

Salary Description

$42.00/hr.
