Job Description
The Deli Lead is passionate about Enmarket's food and beverage services and provides support to the store management team in meeting operational, sales and profitability objectives. Deli Leads are responsible for making sure the food service areas of the store are clean, sanitary, and well stocked with strict adherence to safe food handling procedures and food presentation. The Deli Lead provides quick and excellent customer service. Responsible for completing store level tasks including food preparation, customer service, cleaning, and all other related functions.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner. Provide a quick and outstanding experience for all customers. Respond to customer requests in a timely and efficient manner. Engage each customer genuinely and thank them for their business.
  • Maintain high standards of food service cleanliness and sanitation, food quality, and food and equipment safety by following appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and log refrigerator temperatures every 3 hours and report any issues to Deli Lead and store management team.
  • Follow the correct vendor check-in procedures as defined in the operations manual and trained by manager.
  • Must have a customer-centric, friendly, service attitude.
  • Complete all shift duties and reports accurately, neatly, and timely.
  • Demonstrates teamwork and cooperation with customers and fellow employees.
  • Prepare food orders, including conducting a quality check to ensure customers' orders are correct.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing) is required.
  • Ensure all food service areas are adequately stocked throughout the shift.
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities needed to accommodate store operational needs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, stretch, reach, stack, and lift inventory weighing up to 40 pounds to stock inventory, sell merchandise, and while keep the store clean.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be able to cooperate and get along with co-workers.
  • Responsible for communicating and supporting the company mission, vision, and values.
  • Responsible for following all company policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to hear, understand, and respond to requests and to communicate information clearly using the English language.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records and communicate needs to Deli Lead and store management.
  • Help resolve customer complaints and problems quickly and effectively.
  • Responsible for ordering or assisting the General Manager with ordering food related items. Responsible for conducting or assisting the General Manager with Cost counts. Responsible for ensuring that the proper amount of food is available, and that waste is monitored, controlled, and accounted for daily.
