- Maintain proper temperature, storage and handling of all product
- This job can be physically demanding including standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting 20 – 50 pounds, as well as other duties as assigned.
- Ensure sanitation and cleanliness of commissary kitchen
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, and cooking standards
- Maintain an accurate inventory and regularly communicate with other departments when product is low
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Familiarity with Kitchen SOPs and safety practices
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Learn and ensure consistent use of Hog Island’s HAACP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Plan
- Good verbal and written communication/comprehension skills
- Valid CA Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of hire
