Contracts & Quotations Manager Jobs

Piedmont Aviation Component Services is looking for a qualified Contracts & Quotations Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring efficiency is increased by eliminating wastes and challenging status quo. The Contract & Quotations Manager lead the preparation and submission of winning proposals. In this role, they will work with cross-functional proposal team members to help respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage the proposal development process to ensure on-time delivery of compelling, compliant, and well-written proposals. The position involves researching and writing client-facing documentation on behalf of our company in support of an array of our products. This role will successfully communicate and collaborate with a variety of internal stakeholders including.
Responsibilities:

• Provide processes that meet customer needs and expectations;
• Co-ordinate any cross site bid activity;
• Manage customer expectations on all bid activity;
• Manage cross departmental activities in order to meet deadlines;
• Identify & drive continuous improvements;
• Manage the continuous improvement Quotation Work Packages;
• Responsible for the development of the team including appraisals & monitoring training plans in liaison with the HR department;
• Manage and Co-ordinate the Documentation team;
• Manage the teams to deliver timely and accurate bids for existing and potential new customers;
• Manage and Co-ordinate the Bid Team;
• To have good knowledge and hands on experience of using continuous improvement tools, including 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacture;
• Co-ordinate the review of bids before submission.
• Understand and promote the Company health & safety requirements;
• Ensure compliance with company codes of conduct;
• Assist with transition from Bid Stage to NPI as and when required;

Requirements

• Good IT skills e.g. Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
• Hands-on approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Confident communication to customers
• Security Cleared would be advantageous
• Educated to degree level or relevant industry experience >5 years
• System understanding of CRM tools would be beneficial (Salesforce)
• Highly energized and motivated with a high level of commitment
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Numerate with strong analytical and problem solving ability
• Ability to prioritize, demonstrating first class organization skills and time management
• Commercially astute and customer focused
• Ability to work collaboratively with others to provide a high quality service
• Credible and confident communicator (written & verbal) at all levels
• Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively using own initiative
