Job Description
Team St. Michael’s Inc., has an opportunity for an experienced Contract Specialist in the Arlington, VA area in support of a defense organization. The selected candidate shall assist in providing end to end federal procurement support services to the client, must possess an uncompromising work ethic, and be able to align with St. Michael’s core values of Excellence In Reputation, Candor, Commitment, Teamwork, and Dependability.


The Contractor shall provide personnel and administrative support to perform Contract Specialist duties. The individual shall support the Contracting Officer in the procurement of supplies and services (including interagency agreements), performing the full range of contracting functions.


Location: Arlington, VA - American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) (100% Remote Position)


Required


  • At least 8 years of experience in federal contracting
  • Must have held or currently hold a Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FACC) Level II or Department of Defense equivalent


Duties Include:


  • Assistance with the development of statements of work/performance work statements
  • Cost and price analysis
  • Award of contracts
  • Negotiation of prices and contracts with industry
  • Drafting solicitations and RFQs
  • Planning and market research
  • Procurement of supplies and services
  • Preparation of contract files and supporting documentation
  • Administration of contracts and closeout


Desired Qualifications


  • Experience working in Oracle Federal Financial Systems or similar contract management software
  • Masters in Business Administration or equivalent degree


Part Time Work - ABMC anticipates a part time schedule, at least 24 and up to 32 hours per week. Performance will not be required on the following Federal holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Birthday,


Washington’s Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
