Job Description
The Insurance Continuing Education Course Reviewer Specialist is responsible for reviewing insurance course outlines for all lines of Insurance, review Instructor applications and complete Insurance course audits. The Continuing Education Course Approver is also responsible for deciding whether or not an Insurance continuing education course will be accepted to count towards licensees’ continuing education credits.


Job Responsibilities


Working closely with the Continuing Education Manager, clients and course providers, the Insurance Continuing Education Course Reviewer Specialist communicates approvals/denials to the Continuing Education team and responds to clients and course providers to defend approval/disapproval decisions as needed. The Insurance Course Reviewer Specialist also completes audits of Insurance courses.


Required Knowledge And Experience


Education and Experience


  • Bachelor degree


Or


  • 3+ years Insurance and/or Risk Management experience


Or


  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications especially Word and Excel
  • Insurance licensed in Life/Health, Property/Casualty and/or Title preferred.
  • Familiarity with Insurance Continuing Education


Skills, Knowledge And Abilities


  • In depth knowledge of all lines of Insurance required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Meet deadlines and
  • Ability to orally communicate system functions via phone
  • Must be a quick learner of technical applications
  • Ability to communicate in writing clearly and succinctly (often via email)
  • Effective problem solving/trouble shooting skills


Other (license/certification)


  • Participate in required employee trainings: Data Protection and Privacy for Pearson VUE; Preventing Sexual Harassment; and Pearson Code of Business Conduct
  • AICPCU, IIA, AAI The American College, LOMA, or the National Alliance designations preferred


Schedule And Work Setup


  • Work from home, with Pearson supplied hardware and support. (employees are responsible for securing reliable internet)
  • Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM


Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:


Minimum full-time salary range is $27.00 per hour
