Summary
The Content Specialist creates the content and materials that enable both instructor-led, and self-learning training on topics related to Viega LLC Digital Systems. Within this role, the incumbent will have an opportunity to impact the entire organization of as the content they develop will be provided as the educational material for all operations. The incumbent will assist training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need.
This role will follow a brand and its style guidelines, and they adhere to a company or project’s submission deadlines. They may also be called upon to monitor website traffic or make sure a site is working properly and to respond to all relevant website feedback. The Content Specialist will also help with the Apprenticeship Program, such as Organizing workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. The incumbent will help monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching, receive complaints, and resolve problems, and maintain timekeeping and personnel records.

  • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned, including cross-departmentally
  • Analyzing performance indicators and web traffic and determining the effectiveness of created content.
  • Clearly communicate the Viega safety culture and proper procedures and techniques
  • Coordinate routing of material to required reviewers
  • Review materials and communications for regulatory compliance
  • Attend meetings as required and/or assigned.
  • Support manufacturing as needed by helping to complete production assignments
  • Function as the subject matter expert within Plastics and Metals
  • Create Content and Manage Content Distribution
  • Collaborate/Utilize Heat Map with Other Departments on Content Creation
  • Able to communicate the importance of quality
  • Managing the distribution of content through our various channels, including social media.
  • Assist in developing/maintaining a robust and effective training plan
  • Quality Assurance
  • Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
  • Collaborate with authors to shape manuscript
  • Manage and develop author and vendor talent
  • Able to communicate Viega’s purpose and help new joiners connect to Viega’s values.
  • Improving the presentation creation process marrying template and customized approaches to gain efficiencies
  • Develop Strategic Content Goals
  • Creating unique, simple-to-understand, and user-friendly content using good SEO techniques.
  • Create and maintain PowerPoint decks and facilitator guides for instructor lead training
  • Collaborating with the departments and team members and brainstorming subjects for creative content.
  • Create an inclusive culture and help new teammates to feel welcome and part of the Viega community
  • Need to be familiar with all areas of Plastics and Metals and other areas as needed
  • Editing and proofreading new content with other business leaders before publication.
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators to Determine Content Effectiveness
  • Creating AR/VR training content for new and existing employees.
Special Job Dimensions
  • Will be required to travel up to 5% of the time.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Adult Learning Theory or equivalent is preferred
  • Training Development Certificate or equivalent
  • Strong communication and training skills
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Education, HR, Marketing, or related field
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiar with all areas of Plastics and Metals
  • Demonstrated collaboration with department leaders and other functional areas
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Previous knowledge of Plastics and Metals manufacturing is beneficial but not required.
  • Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
  • Ability to support basic Learning Management Administrative tasks
