As a Content Production Specialist, you will partner with Community Engagement Managers and Game Teams to develop and execute against content plans for social platforms and other player touchpoints with the intent of educating, entertaining, and engaging the player base for current and upcoming products from the AppLovin family of mobile game studios. You will be responsible for writing blog posts, articles, stories, video scripts, emails, and social media copy, and editing/publishing approved pieces across a variety of platforms. The ideal candidate for this role is a passionate writer with experience in writing with marketing intent.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the writing pipeline, including initial drafting, editing, and publishing
  • Assist with the creation and writing of immersive game narratives.
  • Leverage existing style guides to write content that is aligned with and reflective of branding and IP styles.
  • Collaborate with community managers, game teams, and content team leads to develop compelling content strategies that reflect the goals for each game.
  • Gain familiarity and fluency with the games and products that our team supports, ensuring written content is relevant, accurate, and informed.
  • Create engaging, entertaining, and informative written content targeted at AppLovin gaming communities to be published on AppLovin websites, social networks, and other community touchpoints.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of HTML for content publishing.
  • Experience with graphic design software and static image production tools, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a plus.
  • A working knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword research.
  • Experience working with contemporary communication productivity tools and apps including Google Docs/G-Suite, Slack, Asana, and JIRA.
  • Experience with writing software, including Adobe Indesign a plus.
  • Experience writing fiction, including world building, character development, and overall narrative design.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to generate social posts, community announcements, microcopy, and other public-facing written content.
  • 2-4 years experience writing short and long form content.
  • Passion for video games and familiarity with mobile gaming genres a plus
