Content Marketing Creator Jobs

WACH FOX 57 in Columbia, SC provides local news, weather, sports, entertainment, and social media content to residents of The Midlands. Providing our viewers with up to date information and entertaining content keeps our brand fresh and consistent to the market.
WACH FOX 57 is currently seeking a skilled Content Marketing Creator to join our Creative Services Team. If you create your own content and would like to step into the world of television, this job is for you. We are looking for someone to help extend our brand into the digital industry. As a Content Marketing Creator, you must be able to create, conceptualize, script, shoot and edit compelling content to promote news and programming products across all digital and linear broadcast streams such as radio and television. This position must be a team player in a fast-paced environment and understand the power of social media.
Responsibilities include:

• Meet scheduling deadlines
• Plan, produce and deliver video content featuring our news talent for television broadcast and social media
• Participate in station community events including appearances within the community
• Stay up to date with current promotional content from local station competitors
• Look for new and innovative ways to create marketing content that will reach our audience efficiently and represent our brand
• Monitor, track and analyze social media performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of a campaign
• Work with Creative Services Director to create promotional strategies on radio, televisions and social media
• Ability to work flexible schedule
• This position reports to the Creative Services Director
• Consistently produce social content on Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube and Facebook to market various news and entertainment properties
• Repurpose news content for YouTube

Required Skills and Experience:

• General knowledge of basic motion graphics and visual effects
• Knowledge of the top social media platforms and best practices for posting to social media.
• Strong verbal, written and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Professional knowledge of DSLR and Sony Cinema Camera operations.
• Knowledge of social media trends, tactics, and features
• Highly creative and strong communication skills
• Must be able to create, conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit cutting edge content while also managing deadlines
• A college degree and two years previous experience in social or broadcast content creation
• Experience in writing powerful, attention-grabbing copy
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
